I got my Treasures!!

I was very lucky recently and won the giveaway that Elyse from Tinkered Treasures was having for her 200th blogthday.  I came home this afternoon and a box was at my doorstep!  I am so happy with the beautiful things that were sent.   I have been "Tinkered", Elyse has better pictures with her awesome photography of the treasures here  http://tinkeredtreasures.blogspot.com/2010/09/giveaway-winner-announced.html

And I wanted to post what I did with them

First I had to explain to my 6 and 1/2  year old why they were "mine" and I would share while in the sewing room but that they were special to me and we had to take special care of the "Ballerina", Cake and lil birdie as she adored these items , she laughed and giggled at the ballerina in the little jar dancing ontop of beautiful rose fabric garland, and I am sure they will reside in her wood princess castle from time to time!

I put them on a vintage wire rack in my sewing room (won't be pink for long I will be painting and decorating over the next few weeks)

Whenever I go to get a little vintage lace or go to turn the light on or off, I will be faced with a few of my favorite things to inspire, from some of my favorite blog/etsy ladies!

Lovely Tinkered Treasures!

A beautiful painted can with a few more goodies inside, came with a beautiful card and a pencil as well!

The TinkeredTeasures I  won go perfect with the tags from MaryJane's (Beehive Cottage) I got a few vintage and a few retro from her shop, she threw in a few extra's as gifts, they are awesome, perfect for sewing area!

This vintage teacup Pincushion came in this week from bushelandapeck.typepad.com   from her Etsy shop. I enjoy her blog and her store and wanted to put things from some of my favorite etsy shops and blogs in my sewing room to inspire!

I got a book from her that was written by one of my favorite fabric designers Sandi Henderson, The handmaiden herself (she is having a giveaway as well right now, beautiful mother daughter aprons) threw in some of her own Sandi Henderson  Scraps, what a sweet thoughtful gift.

I am just so excited to find such a wonderful group of people in blogsville and am amazed by the kindness of people who own etsy shops and wanted to share!

I am off to sew and will not be back for a few days as I am having a "Grand Opening" to my shop the giveaway is in the top right hand corner, Hope you enter and good luck!!!  After shop opens I will be blogging about changing the "Cherry Cola Pink" room , I want to make the look go back in time, I want to step in this room and be taken away with creativity, hope and dreams! I want to bring home some of the antique pieces I have been putting on layaway/hold all over Fort Worth/Dallas and pay  with my "Garage Sale" (cleaning out house, attic and garage,  funds! )  I think I will paint a light gray I am going for a french/farmhouse romance style.........Till then
