French Masquerade hopes to see several sites, and be a big part of the "Where Women Cook" Launch party! She is very excited..............................I really wish I could go with her............................My Hubby and I are planning on making the trip one day soon!
But since she just simply could not bring it upon herself to go it alone................that would be not be very much fun and she did not want to leave TEXAS all by herself..................She begged for one of the others to go with her.........
So...... last night I completed Miss New York City she did afterall have the celebration glasses for a launch party toast on a tray.........(thanks for the input on her!!)
Here is her plainer side with two deep pockets, she is reversible and this is the side to cook with, whereas the intricate white vintage embroidered side is to serve/hostess with. Little flowerette is a pin and removable for wash it is made out of the trim on the front.
and now well......................
The girls are going together!! I am wrapping them sending them off with a card and a kiss, and wishing them luck and no matter what to have a good time!
Remember the Giveaway for my ShantyGirl Buggy Bag?? I am shipping that off too this morning and the reason it did not get shipped off sooner is...........................I came up with an idea and wanted for my Winner Paige Thomas King to be the first one to try it out..........
If you put a bag on a removable Kiss Clasp Cage that the ends screw off so you can take the bag off to wash well................why can you not make several colors and choices so one just need to change out their bag with outfits, moods etc............... Then you could make removable flowerette pins separately so you can change the bling on the bag..........the possiblilities are endless, you could make each bag reversible but that would require not having a pocket, however, that could be one of the choices offered. You can even offer colors and let one build their own buggy bags.......
These bags will get very little wear and should last a very long time as the handles are antique gold framed and the shoulder strap is an antiqued gold plated chain. You will barely be handling the actual fabric. I have been carrying one I made for myself just like the one in the picture and I am getting alot of questions about where did I get that from ladies of all ages, from teens to grannies. I think the draw is the feminine vintage feel of the frame and chain and they are telling me buggy bag is very unique. All things vintage are becoming very popular again...........It comes and goes for some but for me it is a constant.......Has anyone heard Taylor Swifts new song "Speak Now".........And Jewel was recently reported buying vintage items to wear from another blog I follow "Ruby Grace" at a recent antique show she was a vendor at.
The bag is already versatille in that it can be over the shoulder, messenger style, or carried as a clutch, one just needs to come up with a name for the removable, washable bags (some could be even be patchwork or quilted, ruffled......) that would be so easy to fold and put away in a drawer and take just a minute to change.........working on that today!
Pictures of my new idea coming tomorrow and I will be putting those in my shop as well.
This weekend I will post the COCO CHANEL with the DVD pass it on and a little note about my recent contact from the Chanel company . This DVD is a very interesting story of life before Chanel, full of ambition, creativity, romance and alot of parisian decor eye candy! It is set in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Hope to see you
