Where Women Cook!! A Gift from Jo Packham !!

This morning I got a box on my doorstep and was thrilled when I saw that the label had "Where Women Cook" on it..........

Remember when I sent my aprons to the

NYC Launch party for " Where Women Cook"?
Amuse-Bouche Blog, this includes a post and pictures of the launch!
This is a very inspiring blog as there are many recipes and features!

Well I opened my box from Jo  and look what was inside, not only did she send me back the girls (part of the requirments were to send something that would not be returned so I was tickled that the girls went from Texas to Ohio, to the NYC launch party, and back to Texas again.

Inside the box was also the prettiest wrapped giftbox with  a Thank You ribbon and a beautiful card with a very sweet note and when I unwrapped it I found

The prettiest paperweight I have ever seen
It will be used and cherished forever!!

The detail on this paperweight is just beautiful!

Thank You Jo!!!!
I LOVE IT!!!

I have several issues of "Where Women Create" so when I saw the first copy of "Where Women Cook" on the stand I bought it immediately!
After reading the first issue and seeing that Ree Drummond was also at the book launch, I put this cookbook on my christmas wish list and

My sweet mother bought it for me!!

Now the paperweight can hold down the pages beautifully while I cook my way through

"The Pioneer Woman Cooks" !

For beautiful photo's of life on a ranch, a lot of ranchstyle romance humour,  and pictures and recipes of some down home comfort food
I highly recommend  Ree Drummonds cookbook!!

I love how She  refers to her husband as the Marlboro man as I have called my  husband that for years . Ree's hubby is from Oklahoma, So is mine! She is from the city and I am originally from Los Angeles. I just had to have the book!

So if anyone catches me in the kitchen  wearing my NYC apron, singing   Frank Sinatra's New York, New York or possibly Your the reason God made Oklahoma, using my new Cookbook with my magazine full of inspirational eye candy nearby...................making Jalapeno Poppers now you will know the story behind it!!

Have a wonderful day!!

Sherry

  1. What a sweet gift! I'll have to check out those cookbooks. I love to bake and cook in the winter. The hubby does most of the grilling/cooking in the summer! Enjoy your new treasures! :D ~Michelle
