Lakeside Home Inspiration and a couple changes to my blog, and a giveaway coming soon!

I have been changing up my blog a bit and wanted to update my banner to reflect more of my style. My post and interest have been leaning towards decor and antiques as  hubby and I have been  doing "hicks picks" (our last name is hicks, hahah) to add antique finds to my online shop and decorate our home so I wanted my space to reflect my love for decor and antiques and not just that I make bags and aprons. The old farmhouse in the blog banner was my Great aunt annies in bowling green Kentucky. I am still searching for a good front picture of the farmhouse I lived in as a child. Those are distant relatives of mine on the porch.
When I took a break from designing my blog or attempting to I had to look up some decor inspiration and look what I found!  A beautiful Alabama lake property.

I love the mix of old with new, metals with wood, layers of texture
These photos  are making it to my inspiration clipboard
Can I just say "wow"

Perfect blend of elegance with casual

How's that for a guest room and bath??

Nice master this room is a play on neutral textures so soothing!

I would never want to leave

This is another guest room with a lake view

The halls and stairway are definitely something to feast your eyes on. I love the lighting fixtures, they are
so different from each other but yet it all flows together so well.  I just wanted to share what inspired me this morning!

Oh and

I am also linking to Jill's porch party as the banner has a porch and well the reason why it is romantic is 50+ years later a relative finds it purty enough to put on her blog, there is a romance in farmhouse and porches, I have had a porch most every place I lived it has been a requirement and that is becuase when I was little we all sat on them and passed most the sunday away visiting, eating ice cream, singing and just loving eachother!

  12. Have you been looking at the different options for cabin beds trying to decide which type you would like to use in your cabin? There are a lot of different options to choose from when you are trying to figure out which ones will look the best.
