Grenadine Dresser for my son

I completed the dresser this morning that was being done for my grown son Jason for his house.  His Girlfriend and I primed 2 coats, painted 2 coats of Grenadine, I then distressed with my sander and then I used black antique glaze let it dry over night and then two coats of polywax.  Knobs were turned from gold to oil rubbed bronze.  I did not get a before picture but this is probably a 1990's high gloss basset lighter wood yard sale find.  I hope he likes it when he comes to get it this evening!  I am inspired to use this color and combination again it was very fun to work with another color and painting together we wiped this out quickly!

The Grenadine Dresser

I love how the glaze looks like grain when rubbed on by hand over brush strokes, we used chip brushes

Distressed and oil rubbed bronze painted previously gold knobs

Side view with graining.  Now I want to find something else to paint this color for my "Chateau"
who says the french don't use red or alot of color for that matter!!! ????

Thanks for looking!
Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Please look at my link tab at top to see what parties I link to for awesome inspiration!
