Window Treatments on Vintage Hangers

I have been working on my booth and painting furniture so much that I have  put off the things I wanted to do around the house, today I played a bit and wanted to show my progress.
On a blog hop a few months back I found the idea to use vintage hangers as curtains I believe someone used the idea after seeing it featured on Funky Junk Interiors.  The two white panels are muslin and the middle panel is material with Duck Egg Blue, Brown, white and Grey I also used that fabric on the little vintage wood ottoman that is sitting in front of the chair I am going to recover in either linen or sugar sack still undecided.. I will be painting the new shutters newfound vintage shutters that are leaned up on the sides of window and I will also be painting the coffee and end table, probably old white and leaving the cherry part natural

My mason jar window will have to  come off of the fire mantle as we are hanging TV soon, I put is ontop of this antique washstand to see if I like it there, needs fresh flowers.......

I am going to leave my leather couches without covers as it is so nice to just wipe them down that is why I bought them for ease of care I know slipcovers are the craze but I love my leather, these babies are 13 years old and have no signs of wear. I am going to put covers on the ottomans to soften the look.

I painted a vintage table grey and left and refinished the top, my husband found a marble cutting board
that matched the table to put on the bottom shelve with my old scale. I am looking at lamp options or going to make a shade out of the vintage frame I have. I took my old wood carved gold mirror and painted with and dry brushed a french blue on it, not sure if I am going to antique glaze or not I had to live with it for a few days. I still wish the walls were lighter but cannot paint the wood.
Found two of these chairs for a bargain at a yard sale and moved my french server on the back wall
The mirror will probably move.........I wll paint the chairs and I want to do Abusson blue on them
I am leaving the 2 curio cabinets that house all the family antique figurine collections natural wood.

Well that was my "playing with ideas" and I have to go run errands.
I will get better pictures once the room is  complete.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday.

  3. Your curtains are adorable. Love the vintage hangers. I have a dark brown leather chair that i love. I wish I would have bought a sofa at the same time because the chair is so much easier to take care of. No vacuuming of dog hairs needed.
