When do you wash??

I know some of you have a specified washday.....I seem to be doing laundry all throughout the week but hate to break out the ironing board everyday so Friday of late seems to be the day that I want it all done stacks of ironing seem to build up through the week I watch a good movie and get it all  cleared out and have my home ready for my family to enjoy over the weekend.

When Do you Wash??? Laundry that is?

It is so much more fun doing laundry in an apron with cute baskets and I love lavender scented laundry soap and spray starch.......going later to the zoo to pick up daughters Girl Scout cookies and then my house will be filled with the little delights for the next six weeks lord give me the strength to not indulge in them.....

Have a wonderful Weekend all!!

  1. I do at least 2 loads of laundry a day--and my washer and dryer are in the garage :( At least the mess is out there--but it is freezing out there right now! No cute aprons and pretty laundry soap for me--more like a heavy coat and oxyclean :(

    1. I see Sandy with some cool leg warmers on and coffee in hand heading out to the laundry! I too had laundry in the garage before it is harder however keeps the mess out of the house!!

  3. We recently have had the kids(4) start to do their own laundry which frees me up a bit but makes my laundry room look like a disaster most of the time! But my business is busy so I guess it's a good trade off! I try and sneak our own laundry in whenever they don't have something in the washer (oh, I forgot) or the dryer (oh, I forgot) ....I also have to remember not to trip over the wash waiting to go in the washer (oh, I forgot) or waiting to go back to their room (oh, I forgot)....sigh....

  6. I usually do it Saturday mornings, while I'm cleaning the house (in between writing).
Monday always used to be the wash day growing up no matter what the weather. My mum hung out my dad's shirts even when it was freezing and we'd stand them up stiff with ice around the fire to defrost and other times they hung on a wooden frame that we hoisted up to the ceiling. We had high ceilings in those days. (Big Victorian house in London)

  7. Hi Sherry..your pretty floral pinnie would be perfect for the laundry and l love the ladder in this pic...l never have a set day for laundry l'm far to unorganised for that sort of thing:-)) However l do love lavender water to dampen the clothes with. Just looking at the previous post...your dressing table is fantastic, did you distress it yourself.... anyway it looks great.

  8. What a beautiful room to do laundry in, Sherry! I wouldn't mind throwing things in the washer there. :) I trudge down to my dark, dreary basement once a week...usually on Mondays, where a whole lot of furniture (that's all waiting to be painted and tagged) greet my weary eyes. lol! Love your sweet apron and the beautiful airiness of that room! :)

    1. Laurie, my great granny did laundry in her basement in Indiana what a childhood memory you brought back, I think it is cool that you have a basement, not so here in Texas! I cannot wait until your selling season so I can see your goodies in your booth!!!
