Antique French Grainsack with purple stripe!
I have been eyeing a dealer on ebay that has had a few antique french grainsacks with purple running through the middle, these are early 19th century and I absolutley adore them........so for over a month on a daily basis I have popped over to visit them......and this morning I took the plunge! I am not sure if it will be a table runner or a cover for my old bench that I am putting in the sunroom but here is a pic of my first antique grainsack that I have purchased! (gotta love selling antiques and having a little play money of my own!)
I love Shabby Chic and French Country and have decided after visiting Rachel's prairie on a more rustic shabby chic look using whites, blues, purples and a few touches of pink, I feel this purple grainsack will be one of my favorite things..........I will post what I sew it into as soon as I am done!
Have a Wonderful day ya'll!!!

ReplyDeleteI found your blog while visiting my other friends in blogland. I adore you style. I am your newest follower and I hope you will follow also. I am just getting started. I love the Italian tray on this post. I have sold several, but don't like letting them go. Right now I have a small one just like it. Love it!
